Bizkaia Energía was founded in 1998 to develop the project to build and exploit a combined cycle plant in Amorebieta, Biscay. The commercial exploitation of the CCGT plant began in 2005 following seven years’ hard work. The company currently forms part of Castleton Commodities International and White Summit Capital, two companies closely linked to clean energy and renewable fuels.
